Bred and grown in Australia
Bred with a large focus on increasing palatability, disease resistance, heat tolerance and root growth
Shown to produce excellent late winter growth, particularly just prior to cutting hay
Suited primarily to sheep or beef production
Exhibits excellent palatability due to reduced lignin levels and low endophyte status (no grass staggers or production loss due to sub-clinical effects of endophyte)
As with most ryegrasses, ensure that when grazing Roper there is approximately 2-4 cm (1-2 Degrees) left to enable the plant to recover properly
Roper has exceptional root development in the first 65 days, having produced 133% more roots over other varieties tested. This results in resistance to 'pulling out' which is common in some other ryegrasses
