DESCRIPTION
Sand Flush is made in Western Australia from all natural ingredients
The psyllium used in Sand Flush is human-grade psyllium husks
Sand Flush is recommended by veterinarians
Sand Flush has been FeedTested low in sugar - WSC 13.6%
How Does It Work?
The main ingredient of Sand Flush is Psyllium Husk
Psyllium Husk is derived from the seed of the plant, Plantago Ovata
- Psyllium Husk is a highly soluble fibre which allows it to absorb a large amount of water in the gastrointestinal system
As Sand Flush pellets absorb water in the intestines a soft, sticky gel is formed
As the Psyllium gel moves through the intestines, it will pick up sand which will then pass out in the manure
A lot of horses don't like Psyllium in its pure form. These pellets are highly palatable and even fussy eaters should devour them!
Benefits
Helps Avoid The Accumulation Of Sand
Helps Maintain Digestive Health
Highly Palatable
Easy To Feed Pellet
Feeding Recommendations
For best results feed Sand Flush once daily for 5 days every month.
It is important to NOT FEED SAND FLUSH CONTINUOUSLY, as the microbes in the gastrointestinal tract will begin to digest the Psyllium as a source of fibre and it will lose its' effectiveness.
Dosage
Please refer to feeding guide in images.
Want to try the Sand Sedimentation test?
Grab a glove
Pick up some manure in the glove
Invert the glove and fill with water
Squeeze the manure to break up the fecal balls
Watch and wait for the sand to sediment in the fingers
Finding more than a teaspoon of sand in the fingers of the gloves means it is likely your horse has a sand burden.
WARNINGS - FOR USE IN HORSES ONLY. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN AND OTHER ANIMALS. DO NOT FEED TO HORSES DISPLAYING SIGNS OF COLIC. SEEK VETERINARY ADVICE IF YOUR HORSE DISPLAYS SIGNS OF COLIC OR IN THE EVENT OF ACCIDENTAL OVERDOSE. EACH INDIVIDUAL HORSE IS DIFFERENT AND VETERINARY ADVICE IS RECOMMENDED PRIOR TO USING THIS PRODUCT.
