Refund Policy

Any claims under the Australian Consumer Law provisions will be directed to the original manufacturer or supplier of the item for review and consideration and we will notify you of their decision.

We are not required to provide a refund or replacement if you (the customer) change your mind. But we may offer a refund or exchange if an item has a major problem, for example:

  • has a problem that would have stopped you from buying the item if you had known about it.
  • is unsafe.
  • is significantly different from the sample or description.
  • doesn’t do what we said it would, or what you asked for, and can’t be easily fixed.


Alternatively, you can choose to keep the item and we may compensate you for any drop in value determined within a 30 day period of original purchase of the item.

We may identify and make customers aware of products with possible issues, for example barley grass in meadow hay, and we will advertise this instore. If customer proceeds with purchase then they accept that no refunds or replacements will be offered for these products. Also, we do not accept reasons like “my horse won’t eat it”, or “my dog doesn’t like it” as reasons for requesting a refund or exchange and in these instances any offer of replacement is at our discretion on a case by case basis.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused (or have had minimal use) and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Refunds (if applicable)

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed and a credit will be applied to your credit card or original method of payment.

Sale items

Exchanges (if applicable)

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at sales@gidgerural.com.au with details of the defect or damage and we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your request, and if approved contact you to arrange exchange of the item.

Shipping

Any items for refund, return or exchange should be brought instore by the customer. However if this is not possible then to return, you should mail your product to: 1516 Toodyay Road, Gidgegannup, WA, 6083, Australia.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

If you are shipping an item you should use a trackable shipping service and/or purchase shipping insurance in the event that the item does not arrive instore.
