Trough float valves are used to automatically top up a trough when the water level has fallen. These valves are used on stock drinking water troughs, dog troughs, tank filling from gravity or syphons or any other location that requires automatic filling, the water level falls and the valve opens, water flows into the trough through the valve and once the level has risen to the full position, the float closes the valve.
