CHECK VALVE SWING BRASS

Description

Brass check valves minimize the development of reverse flow that may damage pumps. It restricts flow to only one direction (spring return to close). It has a compact and robust plastic design and is useful, where a height differential exists between the pump and the water source. It is suitable for hot or cold water and is an inexpensive way to make sure that a single centrifugal pump is primed every time it cycles. It can be can be installed in any orientation, but direction of flow is specific. When installed with a filter screen it can be used as a foot valve. Sealing threads should be joined with Teflon thread tape or an appropriate sealing compound.
