TANK SHIELD 5LTR
TANK SHIELD 5LTR
Out of stock
TankShield is hydrogen peroxide at 7.9%, stabilised with
silver so it stays active in the tank instead of decomposing
in a few days. Added to stored water it disinfects the water
in the tank, holds a residual for up to two months, and
breaks down to water and oxygen. There is no chlorine, so
there is no chlorine taste or smell in the treated water.
It is the same chemistry as the national brands, blended in
Western Australia and stocked here.

Add to the tank at the inlet or through the hatch. Water is
ready for use after 24 hours contact. Re-dose every two
months, and after heavy inflow or any contamination event.
Confirm the residual with peroxide test strips; if no residual
reads after 24 hours, repeat the dose. Do not mix with
chlorine, acids or other chemicals.
C O M M O N Q U E S T I O N S
Is the water safe to drink after dosing?
Allow 24 hours contact. The active breaks down to water and
oxygen. TankShield is a disinfection aid and does not replace tank
cleaning, inlet screening or filtration.
Can I use it with a UV unit or filter?
Yes. It is compatible with UV and cartridge filtration and with
copper or poly plumbing.
What if the tank has been chlorinated?
Wait until the chlorine has dissipated, usually a few days, before
dosing. Never add chlorine to a treated tank.
Why is the first dose double?
The purifier is used up as it oxidises organic matter. A second
dose leaves the residual that protects the tank.
Stock, pets and septic systems?
Treated water is fine for stock, pets and gardens after 24 hours,
and has no effect on septic systems at use dilution.
